Polished Concrete

What It Cannot Do

Does your floor qualify for polished concrete? Take a look at the condition, material, and structural integrity of the existing concrete. If you need an accurate assessment during your planning process, DMA Floors experts can help. In fact, our team can walk you through the entire process, from your plan to completion.

DMA Floors is certified with a wide variety of manufacturer’s systems used in the polishing process. We have worked on garages, gyms, warehouses, schools, retail facilities and even a cold prep room for Sausage Craft in Richmond using ChemMaster's FSR system. We understand the depths of concrete and can help you realize the beauty that lies within your slab.

Polished Concrete Does Not:

  • Perform well in acidic and some chemical environments.
  • Turn a very uneven, severely damaged or deteriorated floor into a masterpiece.
  • Typically resist food and some hydrocarbon stains (there are optional treatments to increase the concrete's resistance to these substances.)
  • Provide a maintenance free finish (it must be regularly cleaned and should be burnished as needed and walk off mats should always be used for entries.)
  • Miraculously repair surface imperfections (small imperfections can be treated with a grout coat and spalls and small pits can be repaired prior to polishing.
